Wacker Neuson’s Zero Emission Range Trial

Marlborough Highways have been working with one of our innovation partners, Wacker Neuson, trialling an electric EZ17e Digger, DW15e Dumper and plates. The battery powered construction machines are part of Wacker Neuson’s Zero Emission range which focus on three key features: ecology (reducing CO2 emissions), economy (motor efficiency) and operator-friendliness (healthier, quieter and emission-free environment).

The EZ17e Digger and DW15e Dumper provide around 80% reduction in CO2 emissions and are also much quieter, which is great for night works. They are able to provide the same performance and same handling as non-electric machinery which keeps jobs straightforward for the operator.

Marlborough are keen to discover the latest environmentally friendly solutions for vehicles and equipment and we are looking forward to working with our innovation partners to help us reach our goal of becoming Carbon Neutral by 2025.
