Why Marlborough

Why Marlborough

Our people are the
cornerstone of our business

Our people are the cornerstone of our business. We have a stable pool of more than 500 qualified and multi-skilled people with well-established teams of Operatives, Specialists, Foremen, Project Managers, Directors, Executives and support staff. We’re committed to providing our people with new opportunities through education, training and development.

Many of our senior management started their careers with us in junior positions, bringing invaluable ‘on the tools’ experience to projects. By developing and taking care of our people, we believe the result is teams who are more engaged, happier and productive.

We continually invest in training, building skills and knowledge for a broad range of topics including safety at work policies, safety risk management, equipment and materials handling skills.
We work as one-team, where people can work collaboratively and honestly together to deliver the project management, communications and compliance skills for the benefit of our clients.

Our Commitments

Living wage accreditation logo

We are a real living wage employer, accredited by the Living Wage Foundation.  Marlborough fully commits to paying all its employees at least the minimum hourly pay rates, which are set independently by the Living Wage Foundation and updated annually.

As a member of The 5% Club, we’re committed to youth employment apprenticeship initiatives.
As a Disability Confident Employer, Marlborough is recognised as going the extra mile to make sure disabled people are given a fair chance and the opportunity to fulfil their potential in the workplace.
As an Armed Forces Friendly organisation, Marlborough endeavour to uphold the key principles of the Armed Forces Covenant. We will be actively seeking to help the armed forces community find work through our partnership.
Ban the Box is a campaign led by the Prince of Wales’ charity, Business in the Community. It encourages companies to ask about convictions at a later point in the job application process, reducing the risk of discrimination. We have signed the pledge as part of our ambitious recruitment programme. Marlborough’s talented staff are from all walks of life, we do not view people’s past as a barrier to their future.
