You have removed the parking bays from outside of my house. Will they be put back?
Yes, in most cases the lines will be laid back as they were before the work started. If for any
reason they have been laid differently, it is because the council have instructed us to do so. Please
liaise with your local council directly.
Will I be able to get my car on my drive once the work starts on the footpath?
This depends entirely on the site restrictions but most of the time, the site movements will
be restricted to private vehicles to protect our site staff and other members of the public.
The paving slabs have been removed in my street, will you be putting these back?
The site specifications are designed by the local council. Marlborough Highways are issued
job orders and can only lay what has been requested. Please liaise with your local council directly.
Where can I park my car during the works?
Unfortunately, we cannot offer specific advice where you park your vehicle.
I’m based in Southend-on-Sea. Please can I have a quote for a vehicle crossover (dropped kerb)?
We are unable to provide you with a quotation for a vehicle crossover until you have approval from Southend-on-Sea Borough Council. Please see Southend Council’s guide on applying for a vehicle crossover. Please note, when you apply for a vehicle crossover, there is a non-refundable application fee. Full guidance is available here -> vehicle crossover guidance PDF.
What time will you start work over the weekend?
The normal day shift is from 07:30 until 17:00. Sometimes due to safety reasons or high
traffic volumes, highway work will need to be carried out at night.
