Traffic Management

Marlborough provide site surveys and traffic management solutions for our highway maintenance Contracts. We have clients in London, Essex, Cambridgeshire and the South East.

We are accredited to work on both high and low speed roads, are NHSS (National Highways Sector Scheme) Sector 12 certified and all our operatives are LANTRA qualified.

We are also members of the Traffic Management Contractors Association (TMCA), and are committed to achieving the highest standards of safety, sustainability, social value and innovation across every project.

Marlborough continually invests in it’s fleet, which includes top of the range Impact Protection Vehicles (IPV) to meet the traffic management needs of clients. Between 2025 and 2029, a further £12 million will be spent on Marlborough’s transport and plant.

Our work includes:

High speed lane closures, NHSS (National Highways Sector Scheme) 12A and 12B certified.
High speed mobile lane closures, NHSS (National Highways Sector Scheme) 12C certified.
Road closures and diversions in rural and urban areas, NHSS (National Highways Sector Scheme) 12D certified.
Temporary traffic management solutions and systems including temporary traffic & pedestrian signals, stop/go, priority & give/take systems, road closure gateman & traffic marshals & pedestrian management.
Bespoke Signage.
Community events, which have included the Southend Halloween Parade, Barking BikeFest, and the Women’s Tour when it came to south Essex.

When working on a Contract or Scheme, Marlborough’s experienced team, use CAD drawings to plan and design solutions to meet budget requirements and expectations and will also go out to do site surveys to determine traffic volume, road width etc.

Supporting Remembrance Day events

Marlborough has a long and proud history of supporting the Armed Forces community, celebrating the valuable contribution that they have made to our society and giving thanks for the service and sacrifice that they have made for others. Each year, our Traffic Management division supports Southend-on-Sea City Council Remembrance Day Events on the Essex Coast.

Our expert operatives oversee the smooth running of proceedings by implementing road closures, placing diversions signs, installing crowd barriers, raising flags, and setting up seating areas and temporary stages for veterans and dignitaries.
