Marlborough Highways has secured a place on Lot 1 of the Planned Schemes and Planned Maintenance framework for the London Borough of Newham.
The framework is set to start later this month and will run for four years, valued at around £6 million per year. The work packages will typically be up to £150,000 in value and include footway and carriageway resurfacing and minor works.
Works will also include new and amended roads, junctions and public areas, construction of traffic management schemes and installation of controlled parking zones as well as public realm improvements.
The Newham framework will be overseen by Marlborough’s Operations Manager, Nick Kellie who has over 15 years’ of experience in Civil Engineering, Infrastructure and technology projects, and highway maintenance. Marlborough are very proud of their flat management structure which ensures Directors and Executives get involved from day one and are available 24/7 to ensure delivery is achieved on each project.
Matthew Revell, Marlborough’s Managing Director, commented “We are very excited to be on this new framework and to be working in the London Borough of Newham. A lot of progress has already been made as we prepare for the start of the first work package and we look forward to building a strong working relationship with Newham Council.”
As part of the framework, Marlborough will support the communities within Newham through local employment and community engagement. Marlborough has already started working with Newham Council, donating money towards some new litter pickers to support their Great British Spring Clean campaign.
