Marlborough Highways were contacted by TrustLinks, an independent mental health charity, to ask if we could make path improvements at Growing Together Westcliff, a local garden that helps people experiencing mental health problems through therapeutic gardening. The damaged path was uneven providing a trip hazard for members of the garden, the path has now been re-laid, levelled out and the edges of the paving have been raised, the garden now safe and accessible for all members and the public.
Managing Direction of Marlborough, Matthew Revell commented on the works undertaken at Growing Together Westcliff garden “As a long-term partner of Southend-on-Sea City Council, it’s a pleasure for the team at Marlborough to be able to support Growing Together Westcliff. The improvements made by our team, to make a safer pathway for the charity, will have a positive impact on the local community and it’s a pleasure for us to be able to contribute this way”.
Matt King, TrustLinks CEO also commented on the improvement works “It is a continual task to maintain our estates and help from businesses such as Marlborough Highways is essential in ensuring we have the best facilities possible for use by our members and the general public”.
