Marlborough Highways is proud to be an accredited National Plant Operators Registration Scheme (NPORS) organisation, offering the best training in the industry with a fantastic in-house team. As a member of the leading accreditation and registration body since 2019, Marlborough can offer expert training and testing across a variety of disciplines relevant to plant within the highways sector.
In October 2024, Marlborough had the pleasure of welcoming NPORS to the company’s head office in Chelmsford, Essex, to carry out a member audit of the facilities, equipment, systems, and practices. NPORS also assessed Marlborough’s Trainer Chris Wood (pictured in main image), testing his knowledge and expertise as part of the five-year renewal process for his individual NPORS instructor qualification. As well as conducting a classroom session, there was an outdoor practical demonstration, in which Chris showed the auditor how to operate a tracked one tonne high-tip dumper in a safe and efficient manner.

Marlborough is delighted to announce that all elements of the audit were passed, with no non-conformities identified. As such, the company’s status as both an accredited NPORS Centre and NPORS Training Provider has been certified for another year. Furthermore, Chris retains his coveted NPORS professional qualification, with his name on the NPORS register of approved instructors.
Aleks Bohans, Auditor Monitor, NPORS, said, “Thank you for having me for your annual audit and your five yearly renewal. I can say it was a great audit as expected. It was a pleasure to be your candidate/monitor as you have shown me your abilities both instructing and controlling the situation with informative content and professionalism throughout.”
