Marlborough Highways was proud to assist with Remembrance Day commemorations on the Essex coast on Sunday 13 November 2022. Our team played a crucial role in the organisation of parades that took place in Shoeburyness, Southend-on-Sea, and Leigh-on-Sea, with our expert operatives overseeing the traffic management of the events.
In support of Southend-on-Sea City Council, Marlborough arranged road closures, placed diversion signs, installed crowd barriers, raised flags, and set up seating areas and temporary stages for veterans and dignitaries. Careful planning took place to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all those in attendance, with roads and pedestrian areas reopened quickly after proceedings.
Adam Tregoning JP is the Mayor’s Officer & Macebearer at Southend-on-Sea City Council, and a former Sergeant and Musician in the British Army. He said “please accept my sincerest thanks for all your hard work in ensuring the smooth running of the Remembrance Day Parade & Service. As always, your “can do” attitude makes life so much easier and for this I am extremely grateful. Please pass on my thanks to all the Marlborough Team”.
Marlborough has a long and proud history of supporting the Armed Forces community, celebrating the valuable contribution that they have made to our society and giving thanks for the service and sacrifice that they have made for others.
