Marlborough Highways has joined the national tree planting initiative, the Queen’s Green Canopy, in celebration of Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee.
The scheme invites people from across the UK to ‘Plant a Tree for the Jubilee’, encouraging businesses, schools, and the general public to plant trees during the official planting season, between October and March.
Marlborough has planted 6 cherry trees at Woolf House, their head office located in Chelmsford, Essex. The new cherry trees include Prunus Tai Haku trees which will blossom during the springtime.
Matthew Revell, Managing Director and Will Blostone, Director, were joined by some of the Marlborough team, to celebrate the tree planting. Alongside this national tree planting initiative, Marlborough are proud to support other tree planting schemes across their Contracts based in London and Essex.
