Marlborough Highways is proud to support the London Borough of Havering’s festive traditions by donating £10,000 towards this year’s holiday celebrations.
At a time when local authorities are having to manage increasing financial pressures, our support will enable town centres across the community to buy festive trees, install Christmas lights and run themed events — ensuring residents and visitors can fully enjoy the magic of the giving season.
As Havering’s long-term Highways Maintenance contractor, we’ve proudly supported the borough’s festive celebrations for several years. Our continued sponsorship reflects a deep belief in the power of shared spaces — especially at Christmas, when town centres become hubs of connection, celebration and community spirit.
Nick Reading, Operations Director at Marlborough Highways, said:
“Marlborough Highways has a longstanding history working alongside Havering Council to serve and support this vibrant borough.”
“This year, we are once again thrilled to contribute towards the Council’s festive celebrations, helping bring holiday cheer to residents and visitors alike.”
“We understand how shared spaces can unite communities, particularly during the season of giving, and are proud to help keep Havering’s much-loved traditions alive.”
Councillor Ray Morgon, Leader of Havering Council, added:
“It is great news that we have managed to secure the sponsorship needed to support Christmas in our town centres.”
“My sincere thanks to Marlborough Highways and the two other local businesses who have also stepped in.”
“Along with additional money from our Neighbourhood Community Infrastructure Levy (NCIL), together we have ensured Havering can still celebrate Christmas.”
