Celebrating our people at Marlborough’s fourth annual Red Star Awards

In February, Marlborough Highways hosted its fourth annual Red Star Awards to celebrate the outstanding contribution of colleagues across the business and the role they play in delivering high-quality services for our clients and communities. 

Held in London for the first time, the evening brought together more than 200 colleagues for our biggest ceremony yet. Set against the stunning backdrop of Merchant Taylors’ Hall, it was a powerful reminder of what makes Marlborough special – our people, our spirit and the pride we take in everything we do. 

With record-breaking nominations submitted from every part of the company, the judging panel had the incredibly tough task of selecting just nine winners. The volume and quality of nominations reflected the dedication, professionalism and teamwork demonstrated across our depots, contracts and support teams over the past 12 months. 

Award categories included Superstar, Most Supportive, Best Manager, Motivator, Excellent Feedback, Keeping Us Safe, Rising Star and Gang or Team of the Year, alongside a special Director’s Choice Award, selected by our owners in recognition of exceptional commitment to excellence. 

Reflecting on the ceremony, Matthew Revell, Managing Director said: 

“This year’s Red Star Awards were incredibly special. Hosting the event in London for the first time gave the evening a real sense of occasion, but what truly stood out was seeing so many of our colleagues together, celebrating one another’s achievements.
