We’re incredibly proud to share that Marlborough Highways has been named Mayor of London Apprenticeship Employer of the Year 2025 – a fantastic recognition of our growing commitment to helping people of all ages begin meaningful, long-term careers in our industry.
In 2024, we strengthened our approach to adult learning by launching our operational apprenticeship programme, giving people across the boroughs we serve the chance to learn on the job, gain confidence and build valuable skills. Alongside this, we continue to invest in office-based apprenticeships, and have already supported more than a dozen individuals to take their first steps into meaningful, long-term careers.
At Marlborough, we work hard to make sure every apprentice feels supported from day one – whether that’s through paying the London Living Wage, our cashback benefits plan Medicash, or running regular apprentice forums so our newest colleagues can connect, ask questions, and learn from one another.
As Gold members of the Armed Force Covenant, Silver members of The 5% Club, signatories of the Ban the Box scheme and a proud Disability Confident Employer, we are committed to making opportunities accessible to all.
The team enjoyed a fantastic evening celebrating the value and impact of adult learning across London. Receiving this award is a true testament to the dedication, spirit and hard work of our apprentices and the people who support them every day.
Commenting on the achievement, Marlborough Highways Managing Director, Matthew Revell, said:
“We’re incredibly proud to win this award. It recognises the hard work of our people and the commitment we’ve made to supporting apprentices. Apprenticeships give people a real chance to build a career and bring huge benefits to our industry and our communities. This award shows we’re heading in the right direction.”
